Player Pool Players (PPP)

The intent of developing a PPP for each season is to try and avoid any team from having to forfeit.  There is no requirement to participate as this is completely voluntary.  Here is the process laid out for PPP:

1)  At the beginning of each season, each division’s commissioner will explain the PPP and solicit feedback from each head coach as to what players have been added to the PPP by their parents/guardians.  Because this is not mandatory, there is a chance no pool will be developed for certain divisions and/or during certain seasons.

2)  If a team only has seven (7) rostered players they will be eligible to put in a request for 1 PPP.  Teams must have eight (8) players to play a game.  The request is sent by the head coach directly to the respective commissioner responsible for that division. The goal is to find a replacement of a similar skill level to the best missing player.  The coach will need to provide this detail when making the request.  The commissioner must approve all PPP prior to the start of a game.  If a PPP cannot be placed, the team with seven (7) players will be required to forfeit.

3)  A PPP will bat last in the lineup and play right field (i.e. they cannot pitch, catch or play the infield).

4)  Teams with six (6) or fewer rostered players will be required to forfeit the game and cannot utilize the PPP for 2 players.

5)  If a head coach has secured his/her 8th player through a PPP request, and rostered player shows up at gametime unexpectedly, the head coach will play with his/her rostered player and will release the PPP.
