Northwest Little League

Umpiring at NWLL

Umpiring can be extraordinarily rewarding for a number of reasons. As an umpire for Northwest Little League, you have the opportunity to serve the children and families in your community. For many former players and coaches, this is a great way to stay involved in our program.

Please email us at [email protected] if you're interested in umpiring.

Umpire Structure

We’re updating our structure this season by introducing Divisions to determine compensation, encourage training participation, and motivate umpires to gain more game experience. We’re also shifting to 2-person umpire crews. See below for full details.

📈 Promotion System

Divisions are initially set based on prior year’s, experience and age. Promotions will be determined by a point system:

* 5 points per training attended (per season)
* 1 point per game umpired
* Bonus 3 points if you umpire at least 10 games in a season with no no-shows or tardies

Once you reach 30 points, you’ll be promoted to the next Division in the following season (no in-season promotions) and receive the corresponding pay increase.
